Although the City of London is quiet on Saturdays there are lots of interesting things close by to visit after your race, so why not take in the sights. Everything below is within 800m of the Assembly Area – and free!

Monday to Sunday: 10am-6pm. - Guildhall Art Gallery and Roman London’s Amphitheatre
Rediscovered less than 25 years ago, parts of London’s Roman amphitheatre are preserved in situ underneath the Guildhall Art Gallery. Combine a visit to this with a look at an eclectic mix of paintings in the Guildhall Art Gallery. Monday – Saturday: 10.00am – 5.00pm. Sunday: 12.00noon – 4.00pm. - The Memorial to Heroic Self Sacrifice
The Memorial to Heroic Self Sacrifice is a unique memorial to ordinary people who died saving the lives of others and might otherwise have been forgotten. Situated in Postman’s Park it takes the form of a loggia and long wall housing ceramic memorial tablets. Some of you visited a control in the park 2 years ago – why not take a more leisurely look this time around? - London Wall
Remnants of the Roman London Wall that used to surround the City of London are visible from the Assembly Area but more extensive sections are also visible close by.
